This is a replica of the Felix the Cat doll that was the very first image broadcast on U.S. television all the way back in 1928! That version of Felix rotated on a phonograph turntable in front of the cameras of station W2XBS in New York for almost a decade as the picture was gradually refined in experimental TV broadcasts.
